While the world's media goes crazy over the decision Tiger Woods has made to return to golf at the US Masters I sit back and say "well played".
The media are accusing Woods of playing it safe behind the protection the Masters provide. They say he knows with the strict behaviour requirements and restricted media access he will get a far easier ride.
Of course he will - and he knows it!! It a is a smart play by Woods to do this and I applaud him. If you had an opportunity to slip back into professional golf without being subjected to a potentially hostile crowd and a frenzied tabloid media you would take it every time.
I want to see him play golf and that's it. The PGA Tour needs him and golf is a far better sport with him and I for one am looking forward to seeing him tee it up again.
